Concepcion Isidro Lodangco

–

Santa Clarita, California

In Loving Memory of Concepcion “Sioning” Lodangco, who peacefully passed into the arms of our Lord on April 28, 2025. As her daughter, Mila, it is my honor to share her story, reflect on her life, and celebrate the indomitable spirit that she was.

Born on December 8, 1940, in Pasay City, Metro Manila, Philippines, to Vicente Isidro, the fire department chief, and Maria Romero, Sioning was the epitome of strength, resilience, and grace. She grew up in a lively household with nine siblings, where her innate talents as a seamstress began to shine. Graduating from Matute Fashion School, she wove her love into the fabric of her creations, each stitch a testament to her dedication and love for her craft. She brought this same love and commitment to her family, which was her greatest pride and joy.

Sioning was more than just a beloved wife to the late Lt. Etsoperio Lodangco and a devoted mother to us, her children: Rosa Lily & Manny (deceased), Don & Irene, Miles & Angel, and Lolit & Andy. She was the cherished “Mama” to her grandchildren Izabela & Thomas, Izra, Dani, and Ben, and her great-granddaughter, Sofia Ynez. Her love was a constant, nurturing force that extended beyond us to all who came in contact with her. She was a proud soprano and soloist in the church choir, her melodious voice echoing her deep devotion to God. Her unwavering faith was the cornerstone of our family, a beacon that guided us and continues to do so. As Maya Angelou said, "I sustain myself with the love of family."

Her legacy is not just one of faith and love, but also of generosity, humility, and discipline. She was a living embodiment of the saying, "Charity begins at home." She taught us to be cheerful givers, to value gratitude, and to start our day with a nourishing breakfast, food for both our bodies and hearts.

She now joins her beloved husband Etsoperio Lodangco, her parents Vicente Isidro and Maria Romero in eternal peace. Even though the void she leaves behind is immense, it is filled with the love she generously shared, the lessons she imparted, and the memories we created together. As we mourn her departure, we also celebrate a life well-lived, a life that touched and enriched so many others. Her strength, her voice, her love will forever echo in our hearts.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, 9 May 2025, at 4:00 pm at The Venue Valencia, 28678 The Old Rd, Valencia, CA 91355. As we come together to bid our final goodbye, we also come together to share stories, laughter, and tears, to remember a life lived with purpose, love, and unwavering faith.

We invite you to leave your precious memories of Concepcion and upload photos of her to the memorial page. In sharing, we keep her vibrant spirit alive and celebrate the prof
