Our beloved Gaudencio "Huero" Motta, born in the vibrant heart of Sinaloa, Mexico on August 17, 1950, has left the physical realm on July 5, 2024. The man who wore many hats —audio technician, butcher, and above all, a generous soul— is now at rest. Huero was a humorous and charismatic gentleman, adored by all who crossed paths with him. His adventurous spirit led him from Sinaloa to Burbank, South Lake Tahoe and finally to Lancaster, California, where he resided for 15 years.
Huero was a man of many talents and passions. He loved the thrill of deep-sea fishing, the joy of dancing, and the satisfaction of preparing a well-cooked meal. A Jack of all trades, he had a knack for staying fit, enjoyed the adrenaline of boxing, and was passionate about putting others before himself. His love for travel was only matched by his love for his family and he was a true embodiment of the verse from Proverbs 22:6, "Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it."
Huero's legacy lives on in his loving daughter Lorena (Steven) Keltie, son Michael (Jennifer) Motta, son Maurice Motta, his grandkids, Christopher (Sarah) Mendez, Natalie Antonelli, Evelyn Erardy, Jodie Motta, Lilly Motta, Emma Motta, Eric Motta, Anthony (Maria) Motta, Steven Motta, and great grandkids, Indie Erardy, Mila Erardy, River Mendez, Jayden Motta, Edward Motta, Baby Girl Motta, all who shared countless memorable moments with him. From deep-sea fishing trips with his sons and grandsons to the laughter-filled kitchen where he cooked and danced, these memories will continue to warm our hearts and light our paths.
Gaudencio "Huero" Motta is now reunited with his parents, Gaudencio Motta and Hortencia Valdez, his son Edward Motta, and his siblings Bernard Motta and Chayito Motta. We take comfort in the words of the Gospel of John 14:3, "And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am."
As we mourn the loss of our beloved Huero, let's remember his love for life and others. His adventurous spirit, irrepressible humor, and boundless love continue to resonate in our hearts. Join us to celebrate his life on Friday, July 19, 2024, at 1:00 pm PDT at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 23225 Lyons Avenue, Santa Clarita, California, 91321.
