Helen Wylie

We are deeply saddened to share that Helen Jean Wylie, lovingly known to all as Jean, passed away peacefully on August 29, 2026, at the remarkable age of 90, just weeks shy of her 91st birthday.

Jean, was a spirited, generous, and deeply thoughtful soul who graced this world from the moment she was born in Los Angeles, California, on September 18, 1935. Though her life will feel too short to those who loved her, the imprint she left on our hearts will last forever. Not a day went by without a family member being touched by her overflowing love, thoughtful gestures, and generous spirit.

Above all, Jean was the heart of her family. She was the devoted mother of five children: Bill Dummitt, Gary Payne, Bill Payne, Lance Wylie, and her beloved daughter, Jacqueline Fiore, who preceded her in death. Jean’s legacy of love continues through her 10 grandchildren: Brent and Benjamin Dummitt, Thomas Payne, Rachel Swanburg, Roxanne Haines, Natalya and Patrick Fiore, Sabrina and Olivia Flood-Wylie, and Connor Payne; as well as her 16 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

We find great comfort in knowing that her warmth, love, and generous spirit remain forever alive in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
