Linda Seybert

With profound sorrow, we announce the passing of Linda Seybert, a beloved sister, aunt, and friend who departed this world on September 15, 2025. Born on October 6, 1958, in Great Lakes, Illinois, Linda lived an adventurous and ambitious life that was filled with laughter, love, and boundless energy. Her spirit was a beacon of light that touched everyone she met. As Mark Twain once said, "The two most important days in your life are the day you are born and the day you find out why." For Linda, that purpose was to spread joy, love, and adventure to everyone she met.

Linda graduated in 1977 from LCHS in Indianapolis, Indiana. She attended Indiana State University and graduated from the LAPD Academy in 1981.

Dedicated, courageous, and fiercely protective, Linda served with the Los Angeles Police Department for more than three decades before retiring in 2012. Her commitment and dedication to her community were undeniable, and her generous heart extended beyond her service in law enforcement. An avid cyclist, she participated in numerous competitions across the country and loved hiking in the mountains near her Valencia, California home. Linda was a source of endless laughter and was often described as "a force of nature," "a real character," and someone who kept those around her on their toes.

Linda was a cherished family member and esteemed friend. She is survived by her siblings; Susie Seybert, Cherie Moyer (Darrel), Tom Seybert, and Brian Seybert. Linda held a special place in her heart for her nieces and nephews—Megan, Katie, Nick, Amanda, and Jacob, and her grand-nephews Emerson J. Roahrig and Thomas Z. Seybert. Their Aunt Linda, with her adventurous spirit and supportive nature, will forever remain a pillar in their lives. Preceding her in death were her parents, Dr. Thomas C. Seybert, Sr., and Patsy A. Hodges Seybert.

A Celebration of Life for our beloved Linda Seybert will be held on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, at 11:00 am PDT at 28678 The Old Road, Valencia, California, 91355. The care and services are under the direction of North Valley Cremation & Funeral Services.
