Marsha Ann Kukaua

Marsha Ann Kukaua was born on May 25, 1967, in Saginaw, Michigan. She died at age 57 on Sept. 14, 2024, surrounded by family in her Valencia home of 30 years.

Marsha took the fight to cancer when she was diagnosed with stage three colon cancer in 2017 and was given two years to live. She proved several doctors wrong by enduring countless radiation and chemotherapy appointments, among other aggressive procedures for seven years.

She graduated from Pepperdine University and earned a master's degree in health administration from the University of La Verne. Marsha worked at Shriners and Northridge hospitals as a recreational therapist before taking on the esteemed roles of "stay-at-home and soccer mom."

Marsha is survived by her husband Gary Kukaua and their four daughters Kelsey, Kayla, Kiana and Kaile; parents Ed and Evelyn Mandrell; and brother Brent Mandrell.
