Steven Michael Monroe
July 31, 1970 – July 10, 2025
Steven Michael Monroe, a devoted father and longtime resident of Sunland, California, passed away peacefully on July 10, 2025, just weeks before his 55th birthday. Born in Los Angeles on July 31, 1970, Steven spent his life in Southern California, where he built a family rooted in deep love, loyalty, and unwavering connection.
Steven was a son, a brother, a father, an uncle, and a grandfather. He wore each of these titles with love and pride. His family was his world, and his presence left a lasting mark on each generation. He brought warmth, humor, and a unique spark to family gatherings, and his absence will be deeply felt by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his beloved children: Steven Monroe Jr., Andrew Monroe, Angelina Monroe, and Michael Monroe. Each of his children was a source of immense pride and love in his life. In his final months, their devotion to him was profound—together, they stood by his side through the challenges of illness, offering him strength, comfort, and endless care.
Angelina, in particular, remained by her father’s side day and night, tending to his needs with unwavering compassion and strength until she no longer could. Her love and sacrifice were a testament to the powerful bond they shared. All four of Steven’s children loved him deeply, and their presence gave him peace and purpose in his hardest moments.
Steven is also survived by his wife, Anya Monroe. Though they were separated at the time of his passing, Steven never stopped loving her. The separation was a deep source of sadness for him, and his love for Anya remained steady and sincere until the end.
Steven faced many battles in life, both seen and unseen, but he carried them with quiet resilience. In his final chapter, he fought harder than ever to hold on—for his children, for the people he loved, and for the life he built. His strength, honesty, and the way he touched the lives of others will never be forgotten.
While not traditionally religious, Steven believed in God and held close to the values of Christianity—love, forgiveness, and faith. His spirit was strong, his heart was big, and his memory will live on in the lives of all who were lucky enough to know him.
“Those we love don’t go away—they walk beside us every day. Unseen, unheard, but always near. Still loved, still missed, and forever dear.”
